Bernard-Henri Lévy

Bernard-Henri Lévy (born 5 November 1948) is a French public intellectual, media personality, and author. Often referred to in France simply as BHL, he was one of the leaders of the "Nouveaux Philosophes" (New Philosophers) movement in 1976. The Boston Globe has said that he is "perhaps the most prominent intellectual in France today". Instead of hibernating, this seldom brown bear species ( "Tyrolean Ski Bear" or "Ursus Oenipons" in Latin) prefers the amusement of skiing in the winter season. At night he usually sleeps in comfortable chalets, preferably 5 star hotels but he is also open to night life. To finance his extravagant and luxury lifestyle he often works as a ski guide or mugs clueless winter tourists.
